The tungsten slides forward in the carrier as it slams forward, and acts as a secondary carrier seater for positive primer strikes. Tungsten does nothing for semi auto fire.
Semi or Auto? I *think* it's semi. But since HK never made a .45, and that carrier is mfg differently than a factory HK, I can't be 100% certain. But in the pic, if you look at the area just below the rectangular protrusion between the guild rails, I think the "ramp" that would depress the trip lever is cut away so it won't activate the trip lever.
