So you say you have a Model 20. If it is indeed just a Model 20 there could be 2 types of firing pins for that one, depending on when it was made. The first one used was Parts # 27I it was used alone with the 1 5/8 long # 37J locking bolt. This one should only be used in the Model 20. Easy to do just remove the the pivot screw for the lever with the lever opened up half way . Then slide the lever straight down out of the receiver . The bolt will come out the back nice an easy .

These new 39A's with the rebounding safety do not. The old ones had a deep notch in the hammer that the trigger would slip into and be safe. The new ones only have a ledge in the hammer that the trigger rests ON, not IN. If done right, you can pull the hammer off the trigger.
