The biggest drawback to a piston AR is that they’re less accurate than direct impingement systems since there’s a rapidly rotating operating rod that affects barrel harmonics and movement. Also, the piston adds extra weight to the back end of the AR and tends to cost a little more than the alternative.
The general consensus seems to be that if you want to attach a suppressor to an AR-10, then it really needs an adjustable gas block. This is where I noticed a potential problem. The MARS-H 7.62 cannot be ordered with an AGB. I confirmed this with an LMT sales rep.

For a 10 use a 5/32 drill. Drill the hole in the gas block, with the tube in it. you will need to drill into the other side of the gas block too. So you can get the set screw to close off the tube. Im convinced after bending a typical punch and having to step up to a heavier punch and hammer, then it came out like butter. LMT gas blocks are press fit. Torching it won't make it budge. Obviously didnt want to overdo the heat so moved on.
