It takes 130 hours of constantly firing a bowfa to use up all the charges 2k crystal shards would have given. If you ever plan on selling the bowfa later, then corrupting is a waste of gp. You will have enough gp for a TBow before the 130 hours are up.Long term you should 100% corrupt it, but if you use it now it won’t cost you many more shards. The mages have insanely high melee def. I couldn't hit at all with a blade of saeldor. Swapped out to full crystal and bowfa and it just shreds them. The high pray bonus on crystal is real nice too and I'm using zero charges on crystal armor since I'm not taking an damage. Shards are still pretty rare.

You can even just camp Bowfa with a crossbow+sapphire bolt (e) switch for smite phase. Thralls + Corruption are the ideal spells to bring, but some people bring freezes.
