The major benefits over the Sentinel are twofold. First, because you need to remove the rear irons of the 365XL in order to mount an optic, you lose the ability to cowitness. That is, the dot is now your only sight option. The 507k however has a notch in the rear of the housing that mimics rear irons. To be clear, the Sentinel has the RMSc footprint (that's the sub compact footprint, much smaller than the RMR/Trijicon footprint). OP's specs for the Sentinel indicated ARMS mounting, an obvious typo. The M&P 5.7 (as well as the other M&P 2.0 series with optic cuts) also has the RMSc optic cut. So, the Sentinel fit my 5.7 with no adapter.
