Unfortunately, this means that any crew ability that says it works against hostiles does not work against mission bosses. So you cannot use the standard hostile crews to fight these bosses. My kehra is 101k, that mission boss reads as 44k, yet it blows me out of the sky every time. Compare it's stats before and after combat, you'll see it becomes way stronger (hull jumps from 8k to 44k). Note that I am able to kill 74k mission bosses in explorers just fine with my kehra.
