The UIM gaskets only come as Nylon 6,6, the LIM gaskets are the ones that come in nylon 6,6 and the reliable aluminum framed one. I still use Dex Cool as well, as long as you bleed the air out when you maintain it as you should, then I don't think you'll really have a problem with it, some do a full flush and run Zerex G5..

Remove the fuel Rails. remove the Supercharger ( leave the TB on) remove the Lower intake. wipe up any coolant in the block. flush some oil down the valley of the motor. and then reinstall.No start - after Intake Gasket replacement. I dragged home a 99 Grand Prix with a 3800, the car has 20010 miles on it. Cylinder #1 was hydro locked so I replaced the upeer and lower intake gaskets, along with the coolant bypass elbow. After installing everything including new spark plugs the car will not start.
2006 GP base No more wet frame rail. No drips. No leaks around the repair areas as well as coolant temp sensor or T-stat. Still smelling hot coolant and the coolant in the reservoir is slowly dropping. Oil shows no sign of coolant and vice-versa. Any ideas?? The intake gaskets weren't updated to Aluminum until after (~2012) all 3800's stopped being produced (2008). Therefore, no 3800 ever cane with them originally. If you see black edge on your LIM gaskets, near the injectors, they haven't been upgraded to aluminum versions (some cheaper knock offs now exist, along with AC Delco ones).
