Noticed yesterday that the jeep was running really hot, hot enough actually to make the idiot chime tell me to look at the gauges. When I started actually paying close attention to it the needle was staying at the third little hash mark on the gauge (so technical right).Kept getting 0301 and 0306 codes and a rough idle after changing plugs coil packs. Also purchased 1 injector to try and locate a common cylinder issue. Still throwing the check engine light with same cylinder misfires coded. If, as you said, it was only the drivers side, then replacing the core didn't do a thing and the issue will likely return. There is one heater core.The fan will run with the A/C on or off. It is currently out of warranty. Last year the Jeep overheated pretty good, starting off as a little higher than normal and then over a few months going to 3/4 temp.2015 JK Rubicon 2dr. 114k miles.
