If you look at the serial number tag carefully you may be able to make out some other information that was originally silk-screened on there. A picture is worth a thousand words. Some numb-nuts could've put a 230 hood on a Super C, or 230 emblems on a 300 utility, and all this talk would be for nothing.

From the earlier thread, if it has IAA on the tag and the serial number is above 356,000 it would be a Super AI-1 and I would say is right up there with hen's teeth. Check serial numbers, the Stage II's started at # 19234 and above. A stage I was just a straight H with fast 4th gear, disc brakes, and 1/8" larger bore alum. pistons & a bigger carb for a bit more HP. The reason I ask is that I located a Farmall C/Super C. The decals on the sheet metal indicate it is a Super C, but the serial number uses the letter prefix "FC". The actual number is FC-141468. The "FC" implies a straight C, but the numbers, 141468, suggest that it is a 1952 Farmall Super C (reference IH Tractor by Robert N. Pripps).
