I was 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced at 36 weeks this time around. My doc said it is good progress but doesnt mean that labor is close. She said you could be fully closed and give birth that day or be a few cm dilated and hang on for a couple weeks. I progressed to 3 cm and 60% effaced over the week.
