A 215 Beger seated to touch the lands in a SAAMI chamber will be near 3.7". The Tikka will limit you to 3.4" that is a noticeable amount of performance left on the table due to a short magazine. I love Tikkas but would NEVER own one in a long action magnum cartridge. That seems to be a common complaint on Tikka LAs.

I'd have to look back to be sure, but I think the I sold the barreled action in the $13-1400 range. I bought an Origin at 10% off, ~$745, when Brownell's still allowed the coupons on them. I then purchased a Proof Origin Pre-fit for $730. In my case, ~$150-200 net upgrade cost.
They offer a model with the same type of specs as the Tikka in the same price range. Masterpiece Arms makes one that fits my needs, but that's in the low $3k area, a little out of my range. I have heard good things about them though. Edit: also found the Armalite AR31, meets all the wants, but has an 18 inch barrel.
