it depends on what kind of armor you want, heavy, light, i have been digging on the nexus and other sites for months for male armors since i dont play female characters or sexy stuff, i have some recommendations deppending of what are you looking for

The cloaked face, cape attachment, and Nightingale engravings on the armor make it nothing short of a jaw-dropping armor set. For Vanilla Skyrim, I'm gonna have to go with Steel Plate. For Dawnguard, I'm gonna go with the Dawnguard armor, just because of my personal love for the Brigandine style of armor. I'd like to say that their armor is not technically a coat-of-plate like some might argue, since the plates are riveted to the fabric, rather than sewn into it.
