My '06 Malibu LT had the same disease- leaking tubes--. The guy (an independent contractor) came to the dealership and said the drain tubes from the sun roof area had "shrunk" from heat, sun, cold weather, etc and he replaced them with longer and weather resistant material. Door hinge area wiring is more apt to be a wire broken inside the insulation area. Since tweeters work I would look at door speakers and door accordion wiring first.
