Problems with 2008 cadillac cts.

I recently purchased a used 2008 CTS with 73k miles on it. It drives like a dream, but I seem to have a problem with the oil psi reading. When I start my car, the oil psi gauge will either go straight to 0 or 100. Dealer finally found a fix after 3 trips. They tried lubricating, replacing actuator motor and finally replaced the latch assembly. The final one fixed it.

Re: 2008 Cadillac CTS New Alt and new batter, losing power and not chargeing. It might help your diagnosis if you knew how the system works. The generator is a serviceable component. If there is a diagnosed failure of the generator it must be replaced as an assembly. The engine drive belt drives the generator.
