It had a fairly low shutter count, and I used it for virtually the same subject matter as my D810, via the FTZ adapter.Focus is swift and sure and it makes for a nicer travel/walkaround lens vs the 24-70. But it's a 5:1 zoom vs a 3:1 zoom so there will be some optical compromises. I still like my 24-70E F mount and trying to decide if I should keep it, replace it with the S Version, or just accept the slight optical limitations and 1 stop slower 24-120.

Around the time I got the D300, I had replaced nearly all my AF lenses with AF-S. I only saved the 50mm AF and 28mm AF. I just don't think there are a lot of people out there who have moved to mirrorless who are attached to AF lenses enough that they are begging for an FTZ with built in motor.
