I ended up having to pull the substrate that was attached to the base of my mushrooms and press it back in as an attempt to fill all of the holes.

Properly made tubs need no fanning or misting for the first flush. Making sure your spawn is clean and your substrate is at accurate field capacity is paramount. For 2nd or 3rd flushes I do mist a bit, but no fanning. All that said, ambient conditions can change things a …

I went back and experimented with tyvek during the colonization phase of the monotubs (when FAE isn't 'needed') with the plan to change to polyfill for fruiting.
