Bow is the strongest weapon in the game right now. Hard to say really, though my money is on LBG. HBG has a small damage increase over LBG but the difference is much smaller than in World and thus the general consensus is that HBG's modest damage increase over LBG is not worth sacrificing the mobility of LBG.

Ballistics is good for Pierce yes, since it extends hitzones but also means you can fire from a shorter range. With wex I personally prefer cb. It's more needed on spread than pierce. But if you run slice/sticky you wouldn't need them at all. I was told to make night owl LBG rapid fire and have no clue what that means. I googled it and it said it was a ramp up but the only ramp ups are attack affinity and master rider. Pretty sure the only LBG with a rapid fire rampage skills is the rampage LBG which isn't the best. rampage LBG are great elemental guns.
