Oil cooler: The K24 does not come with an oil cooler. You can skip this step and not run with an oil cooler but I highly suggest swapping it over or running an external one. You'll need a 10mm allen key to remove the plug inside. Make sure you remember to put the O-ring in between the block and oil filter pedastal!

The former uses a square design, with an 86 mm bore and an 86 mm stroke. To give the K24 an extra 400 cc of displacement, Honda increased bore to 87 mm and stroke to 99 mm.
Obviously, you tune for what the engine wants, not what you think it should want. The cylinder heads undoubtedly do not flow nearly as well as the divided-port counterparts, though. Nowhere near. These engines literally operate like an older K-Series with a junk, runnerless, cast exhaust manifold bolted on, constantly.

The sensor is in a different location on that block, because the timing ring is in a different location on the new cranks.And that would be piles of parts you are unsure of how to put back or go about organizing for future steps of the build, and before tearing things apart there are inspections that can be done to determine the condition of each section of the engine. the exhaust manifold is in the head - same on both the tsx and si. If you're trying to get rid of the integrated exhaust manifold setup, the tsx isn't going to help in that area. You can use interchangeable parts for the tsx, but you're still talking about single lobe exhaust cams, etc. Jun 11, 2012.
