In fact the thermostat does not fully open until around 225 degrees. I don't get concerned until I see 240 degrees which I rarely do.rsmwrangler. On a nice cold morning on the highway at 70mph or so, you should be around 199-203F, but under load/traffic etc, the temp goes up because of the way the fans are programmed, so 230-240F is normal hot with the factory calibration, with my tune, my normal hot coolant temp is 212-216F.This has happened twice in the past two weeks.
