Jeep wrangler limp mode reset.

Hi guys - I'm having an issue with my TJ that's got me stumped. The jeep is stuck in 2nd gear or what I guess is referred to as "limp mode". It refused to shift up or down (auto transmission). I'm getting a P1698 code for a Failed TCM. I put in a new TCM and checked the wiring harness to see if anything is frayed and everything looks good.Do you have out put speed in park? Random transmission limp mode. I had to replace the engine on my 140k km 2015 JK 3.6 vvt, the old one had a loud knocking nvm it's indeed a long story, anyway after the shop changed the engine to another 3.6L (not sure what year) the transmission is giving me random limp modes.
