Luck is useful for grinding for chests/gems/fishing. Instant health is a must, though, since it makes you invincible more or less. Armor penetration/%current HP damage are good as well for DPS. I personally like the torch placing affix on my pickaxe, just because no need to craft torches. Good for early game, especially.

Auto feed the items into the salvager and auto feed the salvager into a storage. You have to kill the enderman to get the item drops. Player damage plates and other forms of damage do not give drops for the apotheosis items. There are redstone powered pedestals, that auto attack enemies when you put a weapon on them.

Not sure if there's a way to make a mob farm that would get you the gems, but you can set up an apotheosis spawner with all max upgrades for fast spawn, max mob stack and no requirements for spawn and AI-less.
