Browning Buck Mark Plus.I think the magazine design change was made in the A model at the 60,000 mark, 738 before 60,000 A took a older magazine, after the 60,000 mark it takes the new magazine. think this is the correct serial number, you can check with taurus to be sure. There are reports that the slide lock as been modify as well the newer 738's.

Serial number is OC2185xx (six numbers) Taurus pick up not help.As the frame with the serial number is the firearm and the serial number is molded into the frame then as far as ATF is concerned that is the firearm. The slide, barrel and other parts are just accessories. So I would say the date stamped into the frame is the manufacture date,. Anything else would be the build date. Just my .02 cents.
