2 people had this problem. October 2014 - last edited October 2014. You have to switch to the receiver before pressing Y. Right after the kick press B and once the circle appears around the receiver press Y. Took me many games to figure this out as well. I always have to press B once, then Y once (I just press it, don't hold).
