Idk, in practice, I get much MUCH more parries with the dagger as opposed to curved swords. Maybe I just got used to the timing of the parrying dagger, curved sword parrying for me is like 50/50, and in PvP with lag it's even less of a window whereas I can still parry through lag with the parrying dagger.
