I’ve gotten the starter kit for my fiancé and I and used cheap sleeves I’ve found around the house for that, but I’ve also picked up two of the 40k precons as well.Command tower has gotten a new piece of art or two this year. Right, except all the posts above have the precons as "good" compared to other precpns, which they are, as average card quality is much better. Yeah and out of the box precons are still trash. 40k precons are better but still really weak compared to a player built deck.

Actually, I think the Phyrexia One precons are a bit underrated. Everyone is on a high from the 40k precons but the Phyrexia Ones play quite well and reasonable to upgrade. Maybe the two DMU ones also. The Painbow precon got a lot of bad reviews right off, but it's not that bad, although mana always causes some problems in 5 color decks.

Pick up either the necron or Tyranid 40k decks. Strong straight out of the box. The Strixhaven precons were excellent. In terms of where they fall compared to the Phyrexia ones, I cannot really say, but they were very decent right out the gate. The Lorehold (Boros) one is probably the strongest out of the box.
