With the engine light on, the glow plug light would not come on at all after it set the code. There were other codes for the glow plug circuits, but I only concentrated on the main code (U0106 -lost communication with glow plug control module). Dec 9, 2006 · It is fixed!! 03 duramax crew cab LB7.. No mods on truck and a little over 60k on the clock. After several trips to the dealer and this past week in the shop the problem is fixed. I had brought my truck to the dealer for a hard start (crank no fire) and an extended start issue. If you read the other threads (p0090) you will see what was going on. EGR delete by my definition is complete removal of system components which is a highly invasive and unnecessary procedure. It also requires ECM programming to deal with the DTC’s associated with removal of the EGR motor. Essentially an EGR delete removes the EGR valve/motor assembly along with the EGR cooler etc.1. when was the last time you changed the fuel filter. The filter needs to be changed every 8000-10000 miles. 2. Your FPRV (fuel pressure relief valve) may need to be shimmed, but not many LMM need this. 3. You may need to look at getting a lift pump. I have replaced the FPR and the ECU and check the wire harness continuity between the two. Truck will intermittently not start when temp is below 35 degrees. The only code is p0090. I clear the code and it starts up immediately. If you're getting a p0090 code, that's for the control circuit for the fuel pressure regulator. Check the plug for the regulator to be sure it doesn't have a pin that's pushed out or something, and that its plugged in all the way.

Jun 24, 2012 · The truck showed a p0090 fuel pressure reg code. I tried replacing the mid harness and replacing the fuel pressure regulator. Truck starts up and sounds like its knocking then alms down a bit and sounds like a lb7 but fuel rail pressure stays around 20-23k there is no demand for it as the truck is idling. It's in limp at 2k hits a rev limiter.
