To the OP, the most effective build I found is a Tower Shield Specialist Fighter who takes armor focus, shield focus and dodge for feats, as a human. Max out your AC and it is a lot easier than any other build. FYI: enemy stats for the 3 in the library at the start of the game, on Unfair are: melee dude: 22 AC and +9 Attack
Abyssal Scion/Scaled Fist is very similar. Higher Strength, better diplomacy, more spells, and bit less of everything else (skills, AC, feats, weapon tricks) But if you want the sheer feeling of being a irresistible force capable of single-handedly decimating armies, even on Unfair, use a kineticist. Sure, neutral good and chaotic neutral are also close to what Azata are, but remember, FULL roleplay so I am picking the closest alignment. So goodbye Paladin, Monk and Druid. Race: For Race it seems Musetouched - Azata blooded Aasimar is the best choice. I mean its self explanatory.

It is better going a 3/7 levels of divine/arcane split and then going 10 levels of Mystic T. That ensures that you will get level 9 divine or arcane spells. You could also go empyreal sorcerer and focus entirely on wisdom but you will never get level 9 spells. Scroll savant does not go well with multi classing imo.
