Hi fellow factorio junkies, a few years ago there was an event of some streamers who gathered a group of players to attempt the "There is no spoon" Achievement. Since I still do not have it, I would love to find a group of players who would like to make a new attempt!This was my second attempt at there is no spoon - first attempt was just over 9 hours, too much time was spent fighting biters so this time I went for small island, rich resources, large starting zone... and I missed the mark by ten seconds (rocket was launching when the 8:00:00 autosave zipped by) which is very frustrating.There is no spoon. Discussion. First time going for this achievement, finished it in 7 and a half hours, my head still hurts. I'm coming up on 150 hours on game time in Factorio and I have been playing with my girlfriend who is almost at 100 hours now. We decided to attempt the There is No Spoon challenge together without any preparation at all going into it, and I'm pleased to say we succeeded with a whole 30 minutes to spare!Yep. There are times that greens won't work at 100% because iron or copper are lacking (second line of copper is not added until structurals). My smelting is not enough to supply the full factory working at 100%. There are 10 green circuits assemblers (*.75 [mk2] *.7[prod mods] / .5 [recipe time]) makes 10.5 iron plate per second (out of 15).

Current singleplayer run has 4:50 hours left and i've just started oil processing and only blue science techs left, no idea if it will be enough. But i think even the start could be faster in multiplayer. I'm from north EU (Finland) and can host dedicated if need.

Hi there, I wanted to complete all achievements using default settings, and I've just done my first attempt on there is no spoon but I kinda forgot about the biters and eventually they overwhelmed my base. Wanted to know how/when I should go take out nests quickly and in a way that doesn't take away too many resources!

Keep multiple saves. (Spoon-1, Spoon-2, etc.) at regular time intervals so you can backtrack if things go sideways. Huge starting area (I didn't realize this), rich large resources. A blue circuit assembler that only works 25% of the time and is built at hour 4 is just as good as one built at hour 7 that operates 100% of the time.
